We go into life, first, with dreams. The world is our oyster.

Over time, we learn about pain, punishments, and failures. We start to focus on how to avoid all this, and in the process dreams get buried beneath.

If you're lucky, you come across people, articles, books, who remind you what's important in life. If you're lucky, you learn how to navigate the world in such a way that it doesn't overwhelm you, eat you alive. You learn in the process how to find things you enjoy again.

I keep forgetting how little time we have, and have to remember it all over again. In the big picture, what really matters? There are so many people and things fighting for your money and attention, but after all, really, who do I want around me when I'm old and how do I want them to think of me? What regrets do I not want to have?
