You see, um...
I think people will say all sorts of things. You should do this; you shouldn't do that. Someone with fifty years of experience and gray hair will tell you this is what he learned, and this is how he's chosen to live.
And I do find this advice useful, and fascinating. I think it's a glimpse of sorts into a life that may be similar to mine, or vastly different. It's so interesting.
But here's the thing. People are going to say what people will. But it doesn't really, in the end, give me much more than a surface understanding.
So, yes.
This is what I do understand.
You can't give some things away.
Or, well, you can, but what's left over...god knows if it's worth living in.
So, you can't give some things away. And usually the sooner you learn this lesson - the sooner you can take a step back and slowly nurture all that you've lost - the better.
Now, I have another question.
What will happen to you when I forget?
Forget the pain and the fear?
Do I lose you?
