I justified it by telling myself that life was filled with suffering, and this was only one out of a slew of others; another splash of black in a very, very dark chiaroscuro. I told myself that that was my lot in life.

But the truth is that life is not all darkness (you know this). It was not your lot because life said so; it was yours because you accepted it as such.

Don't do that.

Winston Churchill once said, "I know why logs spit. I know what it is to be consumed."

You were overwhelmed and bone tired...weary to your very soul. But you should not have given up on your happiness. Next time, find this, read this, do this: gather all your strength together, focus and aim. Fight.

Life is not, after all, something to be resigned to. If it all ended today, what would you have done? What would you have accomplished? Forget the fools who try to make you believe you are lesser than them, so that they can feel better about themselves. Do you think you have that kind of time?
