Demons within

And then he said,

You are young enough that you think you don't understand, even though you do. You are young enough that your lies to yourself are fresh as just cut grass. 

You shouldn't be so scared. Hasn't anyone told you? There is nothing to fear where you are looking.

I told him, there be demons. 

But he said, maybe, child, but look anyway. I think they do not wish you as much harm as you wish yourself.
