Books - well written books by people who are intelligent, thoughtful, and who care - can touch your life like a pure, shimmering note.

Good books are thought over, considered, and carefully written. They fall like silk on your skin. They spread warmth as you read. They show you the best of a person. They give you hope - this is what a human can be.

So yes, I love them with all my heart.

"So men are also expected to act tough, display more confidence, and assert themselves based on gender norms, and when a man acts dominant it looks like he is acting how he is supposed to act. The result is that men play power up more than women, on average; they tend to speak more in mixed groups, to make more noise, to express themselves with greater confidence and take up more physical space. For women, gender norms dictate the opposite. Women who act kind and friendly are doing what they are "supposed" to do. And for this reason, we don't ascribe leadership qualities (when defined in terms of dominance) to women as regularly even if the potential is there, and when we do, we don't trust women who act assertive, confident, and decisive, like leaders. Women learn that deference and submissiveness are safer strategies, in terms of status and establishing trust. So when dominance is used as a standard for leadership potential, many women don't seem to fit the bill."
