People will ask, "Does it still hurt?" They'll say, "I'm sorry." I believe people say things sometimes to comfort you; comfort themselves; smooth over awkwardness. Whether I answer from the heart or mouth depends on the tenor of the question.
I did say I believed that suffering is a part of life; so is simple joy. I wonder, though, if everyone feels both to this choking, frozen-limbed extent. I wonder what it would be like to live life walking the middle line.
