It must have been frickin horrifying to realise her insides were bleeding. Nothing you can do about that - you can't put a plaster on an esophageal tear. You can only wait for it to stop on its own (if it's mild bleeding) or else go into the OT.
No wonder she's acting like a PTSD case. Guys, can't we be a little more understanding? An injury is not 'just' an injury. It's something that lingers, worrisome, in the back of your mind. It's a source of self-blame and a collection of why, why did I do that, how could I have been so stupid.
