She would consider each day a miracle - which indeed it is, when you consider the number of unexpected things that could happen in each second of our fragile existences.
- Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides to Die

I had the best birthday ever. Many thanks muchas gracias xie xie! :) You guys are really the best friends a person could ever have.

Right changethetopic because I'mawkward at this even if my thanks is from the bottom of my heart!

Did you know books used to be memorized instead of skimmed through and (mostly) forgotten? 'Cause books used to be few and far between (think painstakingly copied by scribes) plus words were written without spaces soitreadlikethis.

Since people don't pause between words when they speak, the guys who first thought up books didn't leave spaces between the written word either.

And since books were so rare, they only had one chance to read the text in their life - so they had to memorize. Amazing.
ps: all this comes from Moonwalking with Einstein, by Joshua Foer.

The point is, if they could do it, I can do it too! Come my textbooks!

And did you know that there is infinity between two snaps of your fingers?
